This is really embarrassing, but I thought I was working with two known
good floppy drives, but instead I had two bad drives. I haven't used the
old-style drives with ribbon cables in some time, since I've got a IIgs
and several IIc /IIc Pluses. I thought I had tested all the old ones,
but obviously not. I realized my error when I pulled out a II+ which I
knew was good, and it wouldn't boot either. Once I attached a good
drive, the Franklin booted just fine.
Sorry to bother you all before I had it sorted out on my end! Thanks for
all the tips on Franklins, and I sure learned a lot about disk images,
sector editing, and Copy II Plus!
