Thanks. Here is the info Nathan posted about a year ago ...

According to Jim Nichol ( jnichol@tso.cin.ix.net), the supported Macs
   for such a card are:

The 630 Macs _do_ have LC-style PDS slots. However, the
630's cannot use a IIe Card because you cannot turn off 32-bit
addressing
in a 630. The IIe Card _will_ work in all other Macs with an LC-style
PDS
slot, including:

Mac LC, LCII, LCIII, Quadra 605, LC475, Performa 475, Performa 550,
Performa 575-8, Color Classic, LC520 (I think), and several other
Performas that are the equivalents of the LC's above.

To which we can add from Randy Shackelford ...

There's the Performa equivalents to the LC series too. Not just the LC,
LC II,
and LC III but the LC/Performa 500 series (520 and 550). There are some
400 series Performas too which are equivalent to a Q605. If the card
does
indeed work with '040s, that means the Performa 575/7/8 qualify too.
Apple
really got confusing with these LC/Performa models. For example, an LC
550
has an '030 while a 475 has an '040. And a 400 has the crippled 16 bit
bus
and 16 MHz clock like an LC.

FWIW I have a pair of these cards on hand plus a Color Classic. The card
works both on the original CC logic board and with an LC520 board
swapped
in.

Also someone asked elsewhere in this thread what drives connect to the
card. You can consider the card the same as a Unidisk 3.5 capable //c in
that regard. The 3.5 controller is in slot 5 and the 5.25 is in slot 6.
The card's software doesn't allow these to be in other slots. I prefer
having the 3.5 card in slot 7 like in my //e. Apple went to absurd
lengths
to keep that setup, e.g. the mouse is in slot 7 and the memory card is
in slot
4 on the memory expandable //c. Putting the mouse in 4, the memory card
in 5,
and the 3.5 in 7 makes much more sense.

and from Coaxial ...

The Quadra 605, Performa 475, Performa 476, and the LC 475 are the same
machine for all intensive purposes. The biggest difference is that the
Quadra 605 has a jumper block placed on a jumper pin to identify itself
as
the Quadra 605 to the system software, whereas the other three models
above don't have that jumper block in place.

The above models of course came configured differently in terms of
memory,
hard drive capacity, etc. (usually).

And the Quadra 605 had a slightly nicer looking form factor, although
you
have to look close to notice it.

I used to run STM on a Quadra 660AV (25 mhz) and it performed
acceptably.

Evidently, if the Mac has a Processor Direct Slot (PDS), you are
likely to be okay for using the IIe Card unless the Mac uses 32-bit
addressing which can not be turned off.
