     Here are some things you can check ...

1. All of the Apple SCSI drivers have been removed from SYSTEM/DRIVERS of the
boot volume and the ramfast.driver file placed there.

2. In the Control Panel "Slots" settings, Slot 7 is set to "Your Card".

3. Your hard disk has termination resistance set to ON.


     It seems to be important to power ON the hard drive (or Zip Drive or
CD-ROM) a few seconds before powering ON the IIgs.

     Also, if you want to use your 3.5" drives, you should have a readable
diskette in Slot 5, Drive 1 at the time of turning ON the computer. Otherwise,
your 3.5" drives may not be properly recognized. (Most of the time, they will
be whether or not a diskette is present. This may partly relate to having an
accelerator installed. Anyway, a diskette forces detection.)

     You may want to ask Sequential if there is anything special about
connecting to your particular hard disk. Or you might contact Tony Diaz at
Alltech.
