PS Jet and a GS

Hey,

Lots of people have given me input for using a PS Jet (Original Laser Jet
with Postscript) from HP on my GS.
I've now tried an earlier version of the LaserWriter Driver and an old
Harmonie driver as well as a shareware Laserjet II driver to no avail.

I'm told both ports on the printer (DB9 and DB 25) are serial, so I'm
using the 25 direct from my printer port. The printer has four settings
for the port: 1200 Baud, parity ignored; 9600 parity ignored, dtr
protocol; Diablo mode 9600, parity ignored; and Apple Talk.

I've tried them all, i've tried a couple different drivers, I can't get a
thing to work. Any last advice before I give up on the printer? I don't
want to invest a lot of money in this, but it's too nice to give up.
