Ha! The //e Card's manual makes it clear as <insert favorite opaque object here>.
"You can use two types of Apple IIe floppy disk drives with the Macintosh LC--the
_gray_ Apple 5.25 Drive and the _white_ UniDisk 3.5 Drive. Earlier Apple II disk
drives--the Disk II, UniDisk 5.25, and DuoDisk drives, for instance--_cannot_ be
used with the Macintosh L."

I have yet another problem. I've downloaded some freeware from the asimov site.
They come in DOS 3.3 disk image format. Using the XGS converter, I changed one to
the 2IMG format (XGS & Bernie), then to a DiskCopy ProDOS image. I was so
happy--until I tried to mount the image. DiskCopy can do it, but the OS cannot
understand a 140k volume. I wonder if there is any way to convert these floppy
images to 800k ProDOS ones?
