You are right.  According to the manual, the Second Sight can
do 1024x768 in indexed mode (256 colours), 800x600 in hi-colour
(32768 colours), and 640x480 in true-colour (16.7 million colours).

I didn't mean to imply that the Second Sight can pull true-colour
at 1024x768, just that it is a 24-bit colour SVGA card that can do
a maximum resolution of 1024x768.
