The Apple High Speed SCSI card has many advantages to the RamFAST.
It provides an SCSI ID, for one thing, so it will work with all SCSI/SCSI2
hard drives unlike the RamFAST. The Apple card will also automatically
leave additional time to reactivate a spun down Zip drive with the Tulin
driver. The RamFAST card also has another problem...when accessing a
multipartition CD-ROM like the Golden Orchard, you have to go into the
RamFAST utilities and manually mount each volume, presumably because
the card can only see 12 volumes at a time and the Golden Orchard
overloads it. The Apple card has no such problems. Something to
think about for those considering swapping an Apple card for an, in
many respects, worse RamFAST model. ;-)
