Can a IIgs monitor be used with a IIc?

I recent scrounging trip to a local thrift shop turned up a very clean
IIgs monitor with cable, which I snagged for $5.

 Although the DB-15 connector is the same as the one on the back of my
IIc (another thrift bargain), it appears that the two aren't directly
compatible.

 Can the monitor be easily adapted for use with the IIc, or would I be
better advised to sell it?
