My III plus manual is in a box in the attic now, but from my recollection
from reading it I think the switch causes the display to become sharper
but retains the same resolution. In any event, I can see little difference
in the display with the interlacer switched on from the way it looks with
it turned off.

:     I'm only guessing here, but what you have sounds like an upgrade to
: add the same graphic interlace feature to the standard Apple III.
