The disk recording methods are pretty much incompatible at a basic
level, so most methods involve squirting the data through a serial cable
between the two computers.

If your friend has a Super Serial compatible card in his Apple, a
package called "CrossWorks" does a pretty good job (if you can
find it).  It includes a serial cable and software for both computers
that does conversion of several common file types.

Or, if the files are in ASCII format, you can use a terminal program
with file transfer protocol, like ProTerm.
