	YIKES!  Unhook those things now before it's too late.  SCSI
doesn't work that way (well, non-powerbook machines anyway).  You're lucky
you didn't blow circuitry on either/both machine(s).
	What I advise reformatting that hard drive on the SE to a full HFS
drive, then installing a verion of Mac OS 7.x on it (aka System 7.x).
Setup System 7 File Sharing on the Mac. Find some cheap phonenet
connectors (www.allelec.com) and network the SE and the IIgs.  While this
isn't as nice an option as a direct SCSI hard drive, it does work quite
well.
	A better idea (since you already have a SCSI card), is to buy a
cheap 40-500 MB SCSI external hard drive to use instead (I'd still network
that SE, hehe, it's fun!).

	I did busines with Chet over the past couple years a few times
(expensive items noless) and he was very reliable.  I haven't seen him
post in awhile.  Something must have happened.  I don't know him
personally, but I do know that he fulfilled his obligations when I bought
stuff from him...
