Wrong. If you had been following this thread you would
have noticed that BOTH Josh Mckee and myself have been
saying that Linux advocates, when they tout the 'millions'
(as I believe one Linux booster mentioned) of titles
available for Linux, never talk about any real
productivity software. Sure they mention StarOffice,
WordPerfect and the GIMP, but they never talk about the
gaping holes in the available software fabric for Linux.
There doesn't seem to be a decent illustaration program,
there doesn't seem to be ANY page layout programs. With
omissions like this, Linux is severely crippled. It needs
basic productivity apps in order to be able to compete
with Windows and the Mac. And that is the point of this
thread.
