Not true! It is done deliberately and usually there is a message on
the opening page to that effect along with an invitation to download
microsoft's  browser. This situation also exists on Microsoft's tech
support pages. Many tech support features won't let you in without
their browser. As a customer who uses several, but not all of their
products, I resent that.
