PPC to A][ to TV

This is probably a dumb question and I am not particularly familiar with
the Apple ][s.  I know that A][s can use a regular TV as a monitor. My PPC
cannot do that unless I have a special converter or board, something like
a Snappy. Can an A][ be used as a converter? I imagine that there is some
problem with ports and such, but can these be overcome? Please be kind in
your answers and realize that I am not very familiar with all the ins and
outs (pun intended) of an A][.
