Mr. Pirate? and "thief" in the thread title?? (Plink!)

Actually, it pretty much is. Fortunately, we have a nice, compact,
easy to find archive in Asimov Plus! a few malcontents who are certain
to run around informing everyone that their stuff is in the archive.

     Yet; there Asimov is.

Copyright owners interested in how well their wares continue to
provide free advertising on Asimov can hardly avoid tripping over the
site and ...

     there is Asimov.

We have all kinds of perfectly good anti-piracy laws and active,
able law enforcement agencies and

     look, there is Asimov!

(Do you think, maybe, Asimov is _not_ a pirate site?)

But; suppose, somehow, it is possible to close down Asimov. Our
sane, self-restrained, competently managed archive of old out of print
software will be gone _and_ we will face a proliferation of genuine
for-real piracy on sites spread around the world-- i.e. the Real Thing.
Each site will be competing for the best Pirate 'rep' with the most and
most up-to-date II and IIgs goodies. Developers who want to sell GS
software along with valuable GS publishers like Seven Hills will be
wiped out.

My one consolation would be getting to say "I told you so" before
the mob of outraged ex-developers and ex-publishers stings you up.

    "Politician"?!! (plink, plink, plink)

Question: Are these "legitimate developers" guys like you and that other
bunch who got caught trying to snow us about not knowing about a bug in
a certain game before it was released when it turns out they knew? Are
these personages in any way connected to the guys who whined about not
getting bug report emails when they already knew there was a bug and
reports were plastered all over the World's Largest Apple II Newsgroup?
Or, are we talking honest, skilled, hard-working people who have been
misled into following half-wits?

One observes a distinct taint of non-politeness in the above. If
this continues there is a possibility that you could miss out on
numerous opportunities for enlightenment regarding the remainder of your
posting.

As for the few unfortunate developers who do not WANT to be here,
they should give it a try. This is, after all, where the users are.

"their feet"? That one earned you a bit of extra time.

"you no new creating back" Is this grouping of words supposed to have a
meaning?

You may be sure that there is no wish to "disgrade" anyone.

 ....

"ANY copying"? Copyright law specifically allows users to make
copies of their wares under well defined conditions. As for Appleworks
2.x, the matter has been dealt with in other postings.

Dear student:

Had this message been more interesting or challenging-- Note: please
study posts by SUPERTIMER-- there may have been some inclination to
continue. Regrettably, there is just so much time which one can devote
to correction of elementary errors laced with boring dialog.
