Are there any records of Derek's work? I have access to 8-bit WD8003E cards
that are BNC/AUI. I would happily work on developing some sort of drivers
for the //e if I knew the concept was even possible. Perhaps (and I thought
of this some time ago) a small card with a ribbon cable should be manufac-
tured that would port outward to an external box. Surely ISA edge connectors
are easy enough to get ahold of and having an external box would make for
less mess inside a busy case and offer a good degree of certainty. One thing
is for certain, getting good documenation for programming most older 8-bit
cards would be as simple as downloading the source from http://www.linux.org.

The only milestone would be finding an edge connector that would fit into
any of the standard slots for the //e or IIgs.
