now THERE'S an idea i hadn't thought of....  would that be POSSIBLE to
try an adapter like that, that would plug into the bus?  hmmmm...  <g>

i'm sure we could still find some 8-bit ethernet cards around in a
reasonable quantity to act as a beginning, so that drivers could be
developed....  <evil grin>
