The problem was probably not corruption, but resources. To decode
many GS files, you need real GS decoders like ShrinkIt GS because
many GS files are extended files. Trying to decode an extended GS
file with 8-bit ShrinkIt is like trying to unpack a Macintosh program on
a Mac by chopping off the resource fork!
