Or, use Advanced Disk Utilities, which ensures the best performance on
the GS.  A low level format from it resets the interleave.  As long as you
don't plan to use the drive on a Mac, this program does a better job.  If
you do want cross platform access, just put an old Mac driver in the GS
System drivers folder and Advanced Disk Utilities will do the trick.
