Most likely, your ProDOS program is something like ...
10 Print CHR$(4)"PR#6"
Whether you run such a program from the Finder or just start
BASIC.SYSTEM and enter PR#6 [RETURN], it does not seem likely that you
will get access to the network after booting a 5.25" diskette. You could
use a switch box to switch the printer from the network to a direct
connection with the Printer port.

If you are in the GS Finder and wish to eject a 3.5" diskette prior
to booting a diskette in Slot 6, you can just drag it to the Trash icon.
Otherwise, you can press the button on the diskette drive. If, for
some reason, the button does not work and you are not in the Finder and
you do not wish to mess with poking paper clips into eject holes, then,
you are talking about doing a CALL to a routine which will send an Eject
command to the GS Smartport. There may be such a routine buried in the
GS ROM but it is not documented for user access.
I do not know of any Eject Diskette programs. If you decide to
write one, check the IIgs Firmware Reference info on the SmartPort
and/or Gary Little's Exploring Apple GS/OS and ProDOS 8 (pg. 106 and pg.
301).
