Your phrase "Adapted by Him"; leaves a *huge* question in my mind.
Although Nathan has stated that he sought the FAQ originator's permission
in taking the maintainance of it over, the question of the originator's own
copyright being somehow absorbed by Nathan makes me wonder a great deal
about this whole issue. We still don't know if the "permission" received
included transfer of copyright; indeed, can copyright be transferred, and
was this done orally or in writing???? I have a printout of the original
FAQ as it existed in 1994 and there are many paragraphs that are word for
word the same as in Nathan's FAQ.

You are obviously ignoring all the previous posts of the past two weeks
that state that any new FAQs ARE going to be totally rewritten from
scratch. This has already been addressed--several times!! I also find it
curious that you, as a FAQ maintainer yourself, say nothing about Nathan's
violations of posting the FAQ on a regular basis to both this group and
news.answers.
