Help with Video Overlay Card??

I'm trying to get this Apple ][ video overlay card working that I
picked up the other day.

Outputting from the gs to the video recorder/TV is great. Works
perfectly. The problem is the video coming back into the gs.

What I get is the image from the video popping up on the gs screen for
a fraction of a second, disappears for a couple of seconds, then pops
up on the screen again, disappears and so forth.

Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be?? Thanks for any
help :-)
