   GS/OS is pretty flexible as to where it's booting from; I don't
know of any places where it uses hardcoded paths internally. I'd
suspect that this is probably an errant addon insisting on a hard
path. Try shiftbooting to skip all addons and see if the problem goes
away. This may also be the fault of the SetStart control panel (or one
of the clones) trying to run your first program off a hard path.

   If shiftbooting fixes the problem, then play around with adding and
disabling extensions until you find the one that's at fault; you may
need to reinstall it or delete any prefrences file(s) it has.
