Only on MacOS have I experienced (several times, on many different machines) 
the machine freezing DURING a save, effectively trashing the file.  This 
has never happened to me on a PC, or a GS for that matter.

The point about having SCSI built in is a good point, but the ease of 
drive installation is not specific to the mac.  Any machine with a SCSI 
interface "only takes a minute or 2" to set up.

It's called *backward compatibility*.  It's a stage-by-stage growth, to 
bring users from the DOS/win16 crap era to the solid 32-bit era.  No, I'm 
not saying 95 is the solid 32-bit era OS - NT is.  Why do you think NT 
never really took off?  Because it jumped from A to Z.  There was no 
transition available.  That's what 95/Memphis/etc. is.

Because they have to.  PC's don't have to support HFS to survive.

quicktime has it built in, but I wouldn't use that as a "pro-mac" point.

very true.  I've always loved ADB.  It's so flexible.
