Re: Under appreciated hardware/software for Apple II's
Hmmm...
What about FONTRIX? I got a lot of use out of that one. Even used it for
page layout one time..this was long before PageMaker, I might add...
I tried Program Writer a couple of times, and hated it. But GPLE, on the
other hand, was a godsend, particularly for people like me who tend to
write really long lines of BASIC code. I like to write and run, and
Program Writer was not well suited to that.
I also got a lot of use out of Big Mac, the macro assembler later known as
Merlin. That was my assembler until I finally bought a copy of Merlin-8/16+.
Apple Writer //e is a well-known program, and in my opinion one of the
best word processors I have ever used.
Am I the only one here who has ever used Doublestuff Plus!? A neat
package, anyway, though of only limited use.
