//c Printer Recommendations

My grandfather has an Apple //c, and is currently printing to an Apple
Scribe printer.... As the printhead is also a consummable, it is worn
out and needs to be replaced..... This darn thing is impossile to find,
so we are looking for a new printer..... (Solution #1, find the print
head)....
    I have a spare Apple Stylewriter II, but from the FAQ, it seems that
this doesn't help a bit, unless maybe we had a GS, which we don't... And he
is using the DOS and ProDOS bundled with the //c, so I'm sure there are
no drivers... (solution #2, use the scummy Stylewriter II)..
    
     So, we are looking for a new printer.... Our local Apple dealer was
happy to suggest some dot-matrix for $400. I will buy a used Imagewriter
before I shell out that much money.... All I want is text only, 2 or 3
different CPIs, and black-and-white... No graphics, No Letter Quality,
no more impossible to find print heads.....

   Suggestions???
