I don't know. I got it to work with AppleWorks 3.0 and an earlier
DeskWriter before. It should work unless something changed with the
DeskWriter 600 or version 5.1 of AppleWorks.

Have you tried to set up a custom printer for the DW600? That's the
process for AW3.0, but AW5.1 has a built in DJ500 driver. It could
be that the DW600 codes are slightly different.

Unfortunately, I have not used AppleWorks Classic for a long time, so
I'll have to dig up the code. In the meantime, I believe that Tighlman
has also used the program with a DeskWriter (550). How did you do it,
Tighlman?

Agreed. The FAQ must be very helpful because I couldn't help
noticing that in just a few short weeks, you've become very
knowledgable about the Apple IIgs. :) I found the FAQ really
helpful myself.

However, Nate has a dislike for the Macintosh, so it may be hard
getting favorable coverage for the DeskWriter 600, a Macintosh printer.
A2FX, for example, has had a hard time making it into the FAQ :)
(A2FX is a program that lets the IIe/IIc read Mac disks and copy
the files from them, splitting off the resource fork and saving
the data fork with the correct ProDOS filetype.)
