It still has DOS if you mean that thing that runs in conjunction
with Win, but it no longer does much on its own.  It does not have
all the programs and utilities in earlier versions of DOS.

If you want to see the real DOS 7, then you'll need to get PC-DOS 7.
IBM is still supporting DOS, but Microsoft is letting it die.

In the strictest context, I suppose, GS/OS is the equivalent of
"DOS" for the GS.  System 6.0.1 runs on top of GS/OS and provides
it with the GUI.  In this sense, even the Mac OS can be divided
into a "DOS" and the GUI elements.  Yes, Mac fans, down there in
the guts of your system software.  However, Mac OS and GS/OS don't
have command lines.

(I don't consider BASIC.System a command line to GS/OS because
it can't access the features of GS/OS such as FSTs and drivers.)

On the GS, however, we get a choice to replace the GUI with a
UNIX style shell, unlike the Mac.
