I believe you only need these control panels if you are changing your
configuration.  Once you have your network set up the way you want, you
can remove them.  The actual configuration data is stored in the
"*:System:Drivers:Printer.Setup" and "*:System:System.Setup:ATInit" files.
(Printer.Setup may also go in a user's network folder.)  IIGS Tech Note
#77 describes these.

You can use EasyMount to set up aliases to your file servers so you don't
have to mount them manually.  (I don't recall if EasyMount requires the
AppleShare control panel to be active to mount things or not.)

You'd have to hack the Finder.  If you're lucky, it might just be a
matter of tweaking the proper resource with a resource editor.
