There no single standard for Mac .SEA files. Aladdin and Compress Pro
(or whatever uses CPT) have their own proprietary formats. If Mac users
wanted non Mac owners to use the file, they can use Stuffit to compress
in the Stuffit 1.5 format. GSHK happily uncomoresses Stuffit 1.5 files
as long as thier are no subdirectories in the archive. If Mac owners
are too lazy to compress with Stuffit 1.5, then you will need a Mac to
extract the data. The Mac Developers of these programs have no interest
in porting a IIgs version of the code since they couldn't make any money.
Also most SEA files are Mac applications and not data files. I believe
this point was brought up by Nathan a few days ago.
I have no sympathy if you can't get the Mac owner to convert his archive
to Stuffit 1.5 format which will work for Macs, PCs, and Apple IIs.
