   I don't ever seem to recall "19.2" modems available, just 14.4
modems that could do some data compression/decompression and pump data
to the computer at speeds ranging from 14.4 to 19.2 (and maybe
higher). I have seen external serial 14.4s at the bargain bins of the
local Fry's and CompUSAs for not too much, so they definitely are
available.
