IIc --> RGB monitor

I bought a Video 7 IIc video to RGB adapter from Alltech and tried
plugging it into a CGA monitor using my Laser --> CGA monitor, with
no success. I guess I should have known better. I have read that
the Video 7 box outputs the same signals as the Apple III video port.

I read a while ago about being able to use a GS monitor with a III,
so I plugged my GS monitor in to the Video 7 box and voila, crisp
color output. (Why? Isn't the IIGS monitor an analog monitor?)

If someone has the Apple III/Video 7 to CGA cable info, I'd 
appreciate it.
