Re: Manual questions

Does anyone know which manuals came with an Apple Super Serial
Card? My card has Super Serial Card II imprinted on it, if that
helps. Which manuals came with the Imagewriter I and II? The
serial number on my I is 252004. The part number is 825-0568-A.
The serial number on my II is 2062156. The model number is
A9M0320. Both printers are beige. Also, did the Apple joystick
come with any manuals? I am looking for the part
numbers off the manuals. ....

Most joysticks come with some kind of info sheet which may
include a description of plug pins such as ...

                     Apple II Joystick
     (9-pin male plug) (16-pin IC-style plug)

         [2]------------ +5V ---- [1]
         [7]------------ Button 0 ---- [2]
         [5]------------ X-axis ---- [6]
         [8]------------ Y-axis ---- [10]
         [1]------------ Button 1 ---- [3]
         [3]------------ Ground ---- [8]

An Apple2 joystick circuit is pretty simple. The only parts are a
couple 150k Ohm linear pots, one or two push-button switches, and
one or two resistors (470 Ohms to 680 Ohms each).

Super Serial Card switch setting and other info has been
posted on this newsgroup a few times in the past. I do not know
what the manual looks like. If the SSC manual is similar to the
one supplied with the Apple II Communications Interface Card, then
you will get thorough documentation including commands, a ROM
listing, and schematic diagram.

Imagewriter II comes with a User's Manual; (probably, so does
IW-I). The User's Manual supplies a lot of detail relating to
commands and pretty good info about the Dip Switches. The pin-out
of the circular mini-socket is listed; but, there is no schematic
diagram or parts list. You may be able to get an IW-I and/or IW-II
diagram at a local electronic parts seller by purchasing the Sams
Photfacts for the printer (assuming one exists).
