Re: Video on GS RGB Montior?
Hey, here's something nobody's not mentioned yet:
If you want to use the GS RGB monitor as a dedicated display (without the
GS), you might be able to hook up an S-VHS (Super VHS) VCR to the RGB
monitor with a special adapter. Super VHS is a studio standard which
uses super-high resolution and outputs video in RGB signals instead of
composite video. If you have a Super VHS VCR handy and have the pinouts
for it and the monitor, (actually, I have the ones for the monitor.
They're in the back of the Apple IIGS Owner's Manual in the
specifications section. If you need them, let me know) you may be able
to design a custom adapter or maybe you could ORDER one from Inmac (it'll
cost about 30 bucks).
Some S-VHS players might have an RGB output with the same connector
as the GS... I don't really know. My suggestion... get a TV or a
composite monitor.
Also I've been looking for an Apple II Video Overlay card... if anyone
knows where I could get one and how much they cost, I'd appreciate it.
Also can it be used in a different slot besides slot 3? I've got slots
1, 2, 6, and 7 open.
Thanks!
