Re: Piracy

PART 2:
Joe Kohn states >>:

>>On February 2, 1997, Charles Turley followed through on his threat, and
uploaded
>>both LemminGS and the source code for Convert 3200 to the ftp server run
by the
>>Adidam religious organization.

>>On February 2nd, a short text file appeared on Asimov, telling folks
where they
>>could download LemminGS and the Convert 3200 source code.

I Charles T. Turley clearly state for all the public to read: on February
1 and
2, 1997 I was away from my home, in a remote area of Northern California,
over
250 miles from my home and computer - with ample witnesses to prove it,
having no
access to any internet acct. connections, computer equipment or telephone
lines
to my wco.com acct. to allow me to have done such a thing. I have neither;
LemminGS
or Convert 3200 source code.

Joe Kohn states >>:

>>On February 5th, the sysadmin of Adidam contacted the wco.com sysadmin
to tell
>>him of the unauthorized upload by cturley@wco.com of LemminGS. When
asked for
>>further details and proof of the claim, the Adidam sysadmin provided to
wco.com a
>>detailed 500+k log file that proved that it was cturley@wco.com who
uploaded
>>LemminGS and the Convert 3200 source code.

>>On February 10th, wco.com terminated the account of cturley@wco.com for
using
>>wco.com to pirate copyrighted software.

I Charles T. Turley clearly state for all the public to read: varifying
the above
with the wco.com Administrator today by telephone; (A) Yes, my acct. with
wco.com
was canceled, on February 10, 1997. But, not for _MY_ using wco.com to
pirate
copyrighted software, but - by mutual agreement between me and wco.com, as
a
result of breached and unauthorized usage of my acct. by a third party,
without
my knowledge or consent and because of many past trivial complaints by the
pact
of vindictive watchdog types, nit-pickers and vigilante - self-appointed
elite
Apple II

(B) The Administrator made it very clear he was aware of a net campaign
against me and my web sites, that such repeated trivial complaints were an

anoyance that he did not have the time, abilities or desires to deal with
again.
He made it clear to me over two weeks ago that any more such complaints
(founded
or not) would result in my acct. with wco.com being canceled. I agreed
with him
on this then.
