The two folders you mentioned are there for continual uploads via 
special access and upload arrangements. Other files are uploaded 
regularly on an almost daily basis to the main upload folders. Yes, I 
said upload folders. (two of them)

How do I know this? I know because I've uploaded several myself. I've 
also fetched (downloaded) several myself - that were uploaded into those 
two upload folders by others, nearly every single day of this year.

In your never-ending quest and hunger for NEW archives to check-out,  
you really should be more prompt, consistant and a little less NEGATIVE 
- with respect to going-to-get-em! I'm sure some don't make it to the 
permanent archived status on Ground, nonetheless, they are there in the 
upload folders for a time - for your access, your downloading pleasure 
and collective desires. BTW -  did I mention there are actually two 
upload folders you should check. Please review both of these Ground 
upload folders -  URLS - as often as you can.

As of this post/reply/thread or whatever you care to call it, both 
upload folders have nothing NEW in them - I just checked. Earlier today 
and yesterday they both had some nice Apple II and IIGS archives (NEW 
stuff also), within them - I know because I downloaded them all.

The Ground Apple II Adm. and Librarian simply removes and moves the NEW 
uploads on a daily basis, to the proper folder or areas of Ground/apple2 
directories. Take the time and trouble to check the dates and names 
within the many other directories and folders! I'm sure you'll find the 
archives I've mentioned. I always have no problems finding them. Just 
because a folder doesn't have a date of today, doesn't really mean that 
it doesn't have something NEW added into it today.

You seem to spend a fair amount of time and funds obtaining this and 
that for all of your Apple II models. Why not simply spend around $200 
to $400 and get yourself a Mac II with Netscape, and access it all, NET, 
WWW, FTP, Gopher or whatever - like I'm doing. It works real nice, it's 
a lot faster and a lot less of a hassle, easy to understand, no forms of 
confusion with uploads or downloads for me, no problems downloading the 
Apple II and IIGS archives, text files and so on - or with unzipping, 
unshrinking them  - or anything else on the Mac IIsi (which I use a 
great deal on the NET) and transfering them to my Apple IIGS, IIc or 
IIe. And, I can convert any file or archive to whatever need be - to 
allow its use with my Apple II models, right on the Mac. It's an Apple 
TOO - you know! 

Think of it like this...you're not abandoning your Apple II's for a Mac 
II, you're just using the Mac for the needs of the Apple II's. That's 
what I do with them. Now, please check both of the Ground/apple2 upload 
folders a little bit more frequently - every day and every night, before 
you tell me nothing is being uploaded into them.
