   Unless the drive or the computer had electrical problems, they
should work fine together. Which model of 3rd party drive is it?
[Posting lots of relevant detail is a good idea, as noted in the
troubleshooting section of the FAQ.]

   You're the first (to my memory) to bring up such a combo. With the
proliferation of Apple II peripherals, the FAQ'd be a megabyte long
if it covered half the parallel cards alone, 40MB if I had details on
every card ever made. :)

   I try and keep the FAQ fairly relevant and related to what people
ask. If more people ask similar questions, I';ll do the research and
throw it in the FAQ.
