The 'fast'/'slow' slot speed settings in ZipGS equipped systems does
indeed have an affect. When I installed an AE Audio Animator interface in
slot 1 (default 'fast') it wouldn't digitize properly, though when I placed
it in slot 2 (default 'slow') it worked fine. My guess is the ZipGS can
offsets the Zilog SCC-8530 used on the card, it probably needs a precise
timing to transfer data from the mixer's own ADC to the Ensoniq.

I have a Zip 15/64 (15/32 for the moment), 730MB Quantum Lightning
and 1MB RamFAST. When I shift-boot System 6.0.1, the desktop appears in
about 4 seconds. :-) (Not counting the time for all partition icons
appear, having a total of ten, with eight or so active can add a few
seconds)
