Apple II Emulator

I'm looking for an Apple II Emulator for Windows 3.x or Linux.

The old Apple II - games were much better than most of the PC-games  
requiring Pentium > 133 MHz and lots of RAM and a Soundblaster card.

What do I have to do to play these old games again?
