Only the Rev D can be upped to 1MB with the appropriate ram chips.
I've never done this, so I'm not sure what's involved.

The biggest change was adding in much, much better removable disk
(CD-Rom, Floptical, etc) support around 3.0l. If you're happy where
you are, don't mess with it.

If there is a Transwarp GS in the system, set the option for the
Transwarp to 'ON' in the setup. If there is a Zip, you don't have to
worry.

The GS's memory manager certainly doesn't support beyond 8MB of
ram. You might be able to use most to all of the rest (ROM eats 128K
or 256K if you're on a ROM 01 or 3 box, plus some reserved banks of
memory (E0,E1), and ROMDISK overhead) as a ROMDISK, but that's seriously
sick. :)
