All by itself, the Microsoft Softcard doesn't do anything at all.  In order
to get any use out of it, you need a Softcard-compatible CP/M boot disk.

"PR#7" doesn't work because the Softcard has no ROM--trying to activate it
like that just sends your computer off into never-never-land.

If you want to get the Softcard working, you may be able to buy a Microsoft
CP/M boot disk in comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.  Be sure to specify
"Microsoft CP/M 2.23"...most other versions of CP/M will *not* work.
