Well, as a matter of act, there are several very upset Apple II developers
because their copyrights are being infringed by the Asimov site, and by
other sites on the web. I'm talking about developers of software that is
still being sold and supported.
As I said in another message, the net can have the participation of honest,
hard-working Apple II developers, or it can have liars and thieves, but
there's simply not enough room for both.
And, the thing of it is...it's up to YOU (yes, each and every one you of)
who you are going to support.
The question you have to ask yourself is this: are you going to support
those who support you? If not, there _are_ other pastures that some
developers think are starting to look greener and greener. Do you want to
drive off those few who remain developing Apple II software?
The truth of the matter is that there were fewer developers attending
KansasFest this year, and the ones who did attend were mighty angry and
upset about recent developments on the net.
It's time to take your stand. Support the Apple II community and it will
continue to support you. But, side with the liars and thieves and pirates,
and the Apple II community on the net will become even more fragmented, and
will eventually disappear.
Beware of darkness.
