IIe to Mac Transfer Question

I need to transfer some files from 5.25 disks to 3.5" disks so I can use 
the information on my Mac. I have access to a LC with the IIe emulator 
card.

I tranfered some of the disks (ones formatted in prodos) using the Apple 
II System Utilities disk. However, when I attempted to transfer the 
files from disks formatted in DOS 3.3, I was only able to transfer files 
not in sub-directories.

Q. How can I transfer the files in these directories so I can read them 
on a Mac?

Q. I recall an extension for the Mac LC that would allow me to mount 
5.25 floppy's on the desktop, anyone heard of this?
