Little kids like to play with paint utilities. On a II+ or IIe,
programs like Koala Micro Illustrator and Blazing Paddles are good
choices.
Another fun program is Donald Duck's Playground. Age 4 is a bit young;
but, with a parent nearby, it's a good beginning on arithmetic and, like
the painters, helps develop eye-hand coordination. (Eye-hand coordination
is a base skill which relates to math and reading.)
Practically any action game a young user 'gets into' is worthwhile.
