My children (4yrs and 2yrs) were/are both entralled by the McGee series
for the Apple IIgs. (McGee, McGee on Katies Farm and McGee at the Fun
Fair.)

I doubt you'll get any "modern" packages for the Apple II which look good
AND will run from an emulator.
