My guess is that he wishes to do something with one of the emulators for
Z80-based game systems currently popular on other platforms, including the
Nintendo GameBoy or the ColecoVision.  Note that either of these systems
generally have more graphics oomph due to dedicated coprocessing than an 
Apple II, and emulating the sound would be extremely problematic on any
non-GS II.
