I've been on GEnie since March 1990, right after "Open-Apple" took
over the Apple // area. I've been on the internet (UseNet) for 1
year!

I don't care for the new GEnie pricing structure, also in the last
couple of weeks there have been several posted complaints AND the
level of traffic seems to be dropping off. I'm going to stick it out
for awhile yet ... but ...

My main reason for staying is the system stability, responsiveness and
reliability ... you get what you pay for I guess. I just have many
problems with the UseNet (missed posts, no posts, etc). If the UseNet
system was more reliable (I don't mean this as a flame ... I realize
its my ISP, and they keep improving things BUT ...) I would drop GEnie
and use this medium. It may be the moderating by the GEnie SYSOPS
which keep it calm BUT you must admit there is occasionally a lot of
wasted band width here (LOTS of good stuff too ...)

Anyway, just my $0.02 ... :-)
