I'm using a 14.4 on my Rom1 GS right now. I guess it's possible.
(of course, my GS _IS_ accelerated, but for some odd reason I'm dropping
more characters NOW than before i got my accelerator.)
as far as "good" comm program... Kermit-65 has the best (fastest) vt100
emulation i've seen. Telcom has a nice assortment of protocols, and
slightly better (fuller) emulation, along with a scrollback buffer.
problem with Telcom: it's slower, and tends to drop characters occasionally.
I'm guessing it's my configuration, but 'm not sure. (any experts out there?
i've got buffering turned on in the control panel, because i figured that
it'd help a bit...but...?)
i can't comment on any of the commercial programs, because i'm too cheap to
buy them. one of the side effects of having a lousy job, i guess.
