Use a variable speed electrical drill with a Philipps tip. Set the
drill to reverse (check this out) and insert the bit into the drive
slot for the ribbon. Spray the WD40 is short bursts as the ribbon
speeds by until you have sprayed (what you think) is most of the
ribbon length. You don't need to spray all of the ribbon since there
is a certain amount of rubbing inside the case.
