For the past few months I've had an odd problem with my IIgs. Often, though
not always, when I first turn it on, it boots normally into the finder,
but then if I try to open a disk, or pick a DA, it crashes into the monitor.
 
I can reboot it as many times as I want - same thing. If I then use
Control-Apple-Esc to get to the Control panel and change something -
just about anything usually - like turn Appletalk on (or off) or
change the startup slot, etc. and then reboot, all is well.
 
The IIgs then works just fine. I can reboot it some more and it works.
But after it's been off for a day or two, it won't work again.

What could cause this to happen?
